雙十國慶前夕，僑委會舉辦104年國慶四海同心聯歡大會，包括馬總統、行政院長毛治國及立法院副院長洪秀柱都出席盛會。馬總統進場時，與國民黨總統參選人洪秀柱握手，兩人就坐後因中間兩人隔著毛治國互動不多，但整場看來，洪秀柱獲得的掌聲比馬總統多。
昨下午聯歡大會在台北小巨蛋舉行，由藝人澎恰恰與許效舜主持，並邀資深藝人白嘉莉，帶領大家唱《國歌》、《國旗歌》。
僑委會委員長陳士魁致辭時指出，立法院審查預算常遇到小麻煩，但洪秀柱會找他去辦公室說，是不是有困難？我可以幫你解決。他說，因為有洪秀柱，這兩年擔任委員長相當順利，感謝洪秀柱幫忙。語畢，全場響起熱烈掌聲。
稍後輪到毛揆致辭時，毛依序向馬總統、洪秀柱等貴賓致辭，但提到馬總統時，現場並無特別反應，提到洪秀柱時，毛揆似刻意停頓，全場響起熱烈掌聲。輪到馬總統致詞時，馬似乎刻意提不統不獨不武，及九二共識一中各表。
特別的是，有「最美麗主持人」之稱的白嘉莉，帶領全場約7000僑胞唱國歌及國旗歌。馬總統致詞時特別誇她，去國數十年還記得國旗歌，真是不簡單。除白嘉莉領唱國歌是重頭戲外，還有海軍官校鼓號樂隊及張秀卿等多位藝人表演。
